 “It’s the most heavily customised guitar I’ve done in ten years,” says Walker. “And it’s unique because as much attention has gone into the feel and playability of it as has gone into the aesthetics.”

Based on the classic SG Special, the SG Relentless takes things in a more gothic, stylised direction: with a body made from solid mahogany, it’s wrapped in multi-layered graphics which have been finished in clear lacquer and polished to a high shine.  The fingerboard is a piece of ebony with stainless steel frets and handcut mother of pearl inlays. Plus the plain old scratch plate has been replaced with a photo-etched beauty – in addition to the Gibson 496R and 500T pickups and custom selector switch between the Grind and Sacrifice settings.
